Member / Provider
Council
The
Member/Provider Council was formed in June, 2001 as a result of
Pima Health System’s mission to improve the quality of life for
the community and the people we serve through an integrated system
of health and social services. The purpose of the Council is to
provide Pima Health System guidance in its goal to provide high
quality, easily accessible and comprehensive health care services
to all members. The Council is chaired by Marcia
LeBlanc, Chief Operations Officer. The Council consists of fifteen
(15) individuals representing enrolled members, contracted
health providers, and community agencies. Council members
represent both Pima and Santa Cruz Counties. The Council meets
quarterly giving PHS Administration critical input and feedback
on:
- The
effectiveness of policies, procedures, and programs related to
the delivery of health care services to members;
-
The consumer’s
point of view for the quality and accessibility of PHS’s
provider network;
-
The appropriateness,
readability and usefulness of the Member Handbook, Provider
Manual, member and provider newsletters, and other outreach
material;
-
Member and
provider satisfaction surveys, complaint trending, internal action
plans, and quality improvement measures;
-
PHS’s Cultural
Competency Plan and that plan’s implementation; and
-
Issues of
importance to PHS’s Quality Management/Utilization Review
Committee and reports from the Committee.
