PHS is continuing our effort to make electronic claims available to our providers. We have working agreements with several clearinghouses and we also accept electronic claims directly. All Claims must be in the HIPAA 837 format and must be submitted via ftp. We do not accept claims via electronic mail.

Providers must contact PHS prior to converting to electronic claims. This insures that we know you will be submitting claims electronically. We can then verify your clearinghouse is submitting your claims successfully. PHS provides a report file with Clearing House Claim#, Health Plan Claim#, Claim Submitter ID, and AHCCCS ID. Please use this information to verify that PHS has received all the claims you submitted to your clearinghouse.
